Groovy set of large Chocolate Swirl Aragonite bookends with stunning patterns and natural vugs. Haven't seen this material since we were digging it up in the 90's!

Aragonite, a stunning mineral composed of calcium carbonate (CaCO3), belongs to the carbonate mineral group and features a unique orthorhombic crystal structure. Though chemically identical to calcite, Aragonite’s distinctive crystal formation sets it apart, showcasing elongated prismatic crystals with clear cleavage.

Found primarily in sedimentary environments and often forming through biological processes by marine organisms such as corals and mollusks, Aragonite comes in a diverse palette of colors, including white, colorless, yellow, green, blue, and brown. Its varied forms – from stalactites and stalagmites to columnar aggregates – add to its natural allure.
